God is Our Refugee

Jesus came, a homeless stranger,
Vulnerable, weak, exposed to danger.
A refugee in a heartless place,
Extending the welcome of God's great grace.

When all is dark, He shines as light.
Where we are blind, He give us sight.
A tiny child who points the way,
From darkest night to endless day.

He loves this world, so cruel and dark,
Wishing no one to miss the mark.
His love is more than we can hold,
Or trivial gifts that are bought and sold.

Jesus is God's gift to man,
The centre of His wondrous plan.
He came, a stranger to this earth,
But who can value His great worth?

The Son of God, He seems so weak,
But He is the treasure wise men seek.
